Lead Artist: Kathryn Miller

Kathryn Miller has worked in the computer graphics field for pre-press houses, publications and advertising agencies since 1989 for clients including Nintendo, Nordstrom and Microsoft for whom she created many of the cockpit panels used in their Combat Flight Simulator.

Kathryn lived in a handful of places across the country including Pittsburgh, Washington D.C., Seattle and the beautiful world of Montana, working for a variety of advertising and graphics companies.  She moved to Key West, Florida in 2001 where she worked as the Art Director for Key West Magazine and Impressions Advertising agency as well as working as the assistant to photographer Richard Watherwax, a wonderful photographer of the days of ‘real photography", most notably known for his poster “Fat Cat Capsizing”. Kathryn worked as a wedding and event photographer in the Florida Keys for three years.

It was in mid-2004, that Kathryn met Alan S. Maltz, a talented and visioned photographer best known for his fine art photography of the state of Florida and the Florida Keys. It was Alan who gave Kathryn the unique opportunity of working with his photographic images and publication layout and design for his recently released book, “Florida... Beyond the Blue Horizon”. Kathryn also worked on images for “Visions of Beauty”, another photography book by Alan Maltz to be released in 2008; sixty of which are featured in a permanent exhibition at the new Midfield Terminal of Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers, Florida.

Upon completion of production of the Alan S. Maltz book in June of 2005, Kathryn moved to Atlanta where she worked as the Art Director for Southcomm Publishing and then Art Director and Lead Retouch Artist for Accretive Commerce.

Kathryn is currently working as a freelance digital retouch artist specializing in portrait work via Kadian Imageworks.
